Friends - Mike

Mike came for a visit last night. He throught he heard a cat in the tree he is looking at.

So...he climbed the tree and started looking. He went from limb to limb.

Back and forth he went.

He didn't find a cat or even a bird; so he jumped down.

He did not know that Yandy, his owner, was making cat noises to make Mike climb the tree.

Mike and I enjoyed sniffing the grass, hoping to smell something we could chase. No such luck.

Last Night...

Last night two armadillos waddled past me. I was tied up so I could not chase them, but I sure let Greg and Linda know there was something in our yard that was not supposed to be there. One ran under a building and the other went in the other direction. The rest of evening, I looked for them, even in the dark. I never saw them again. They make holes in the ground with their pointy noses looking for food. Their hard shells protect them from preditors.

There are big grasshoppers here in Oklahoma. A fisherman would love to use them to catch fish. I tried to catch this one, but he hopped away.
Have you ever caught a grasshopper before? Did it tickle your hand?

Friends - Bailee, Cole, & Ellie

Bailee, Cole, and Ellie live in Arizona. I played all day at their home - they have lots of places to run.

Cole got to stay up later than the girls, so I sat with him while he rested.

A Walk in the Rocks

We walked today in a rock forest.

The snow on the ground made my feet cold, but I did not mind. I like snow. Do you? When I peeked over the edge of this big rock, I saw rocks in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

I think these rocks look like towers.

Friends - Brendan & Wyatt

These are two of my friends, Brendan and Wyatt. They used to live in Arizona, but they live in Pennsylvania now. They like to write to me - I love it when they do. They have fun smiles, don't they?

This is Sammy, their dog. He likes the warm weather of Arizona, not the cold weather in Pennsylvania. I hope to go see all of them asoon.

I don't think I would like to wear a scarf - I might step on it and fall down.

Canyon & Sage

I want you to see my newest human and her brother, Canyon. This is Sage. She is 6 months old. She is cute, right?

This is Canyon. He is 2 1/2 years old. He likes to smile.

This brother and sister like to play together. Do you have a brother or sister?

Sage is learning to hold Canyon's hand.Canyon likes to help Sage with her toys.

Brothers and sisters are fun! Wish I could play with these two more often.

A New Human

I have a new human in my life. Her name is Sage Olivia and she is beautiful!

Here she is with her daddy.

She was very, very little when she was born. She could fit into Canyon's small wagon.

Her Great-Granpa Warren came to see her and her cousins. Sloan, is holding her and Sean, Eyob and Canyon want to go play and not get their pictures taken.

These look like fun kids to play with, don't they?

Zoo Animals - Polar Bear

Friends - Lilly & Zoe

Here are two of my friends - Lilly and Zoe. They are smaller than I am and like to sit in laps. They are Shih Tzus.
We walk in the desert together - I ran much faster than they do. :) We run through lots of cactus and brush.

Zoe and Lilly live with Bill and Leslee.

My friends run so much Bill has to carry them.

I just want to rest when we get back home from our walk.

Friends - Fred

My favorite friend is Fred. He is a brown bear. My humans gave him to me when I was a baby. Who is you favorite friend?

Every morning we play together. My humans throw him, and I run to pick him up with my mouth. What do you like to play with your friends?

He sleeps with me. He goes with me everywhere we go. What do you sleep with?

Bird Watching - Northern Flicker

One day no humming birds were at their feeder.

Soon a Northern Flicker landed on the feeder. He is much bigger than a hummingbird. See how he makes it tip?

He started to drink the sugar-water through his long beak. See how he has to grab the feeder with his feet?

Later that afternoon, we saw him sitting on this catus. I wonder if his feet hurt from the stickers on the catus. What do you think?

Bird Watching - Hummingbirds

I like to watch birds out the window of our home. I wish you could see them with me.

This is an Anna's Hummingbird. Boy birds are pretty and this kind is very small.

He is drinking sugar water. He likes to drink from flowers, too.

He can drink from the feeder while he is flying in the air.

Hummingbirds can fly fast, zip high in the air, then dive down.

This is a Costa's hummingbird. He is even smaller than an Anna's.

Dinosaurs

When I was very small, two of my humans, Sloan and Sean , went to a dinosaur park in Utah. I had to stay in the car and missed all the fun. Sloan and Sean had fun, though.

It was a very warm day. This is a very large T-Rex.
